More Than 25 Years of Building What’s Next.
Music is our business. Relationships are our foundation. Growth is our objective.
OURGIG was built on a simple belief: great music deserves great representation, thoughtful strategy, and access to the resources needed to reach its potential.
For more than 25 years, OURGIG has worked at the intersection of music, marketing, technology, and creative development. What began with a passion for music promotion evolved into an independent music marketing and artist development agency with a much broader understanding of the music business.
Our story is about more than the services we provide. It’s about the experience, relationships, and adaptability that have shaped the agency through decades of change in the music industry.
A Foundation Built on Music and Experience
The OURGIG story is closely connected to the professional journey of its founder, Frank Moten.
With more than 40 years of experience in the music business, Frank has worked across multiple disciplines, developing an understanding of the industry that extends well beyond marketing and promotion.
Artist development, music distribution, digital strategy, advertising, creative services, technology, and project management have all contributed to the foundation on which OURGIG was built.
His professional experience also includes data center operations, technology infrastructure, advertising, and senior project management at Ernst & Young, working in environments serving major corporate and enterprise clients.
That combination of creative thinking, technical understanding, and operational experience helped establish a different kind of agency.
OURGIG wasn’t built around a single service or a particular marketing trend. It was built around understanding how the different pieces of the music business work together.
Growing Alongside the Music Industry
The music business has undergone extraordinary changes over the past several decades.
The transition from physical distribution to digital music, the emergence of streaming, the growth of social media, and the evolution of digital marketing have fundamentally changed how artists build careers and connect with audiences.
OURGIG has adapted alongside those changes.
As the industry evolved, so did our capabilities. Music promotion expanded into digital marketing, artist development, distribution, creative strategy, website development, social media, and catalog marketing.
We embraced technology early, recognizing that the internet would fundamentally change how music was discovered, distributed, marketed, and consumed.
But while technology has changed the mechanics of the business, one thing has remained constant: music is still a relationship business.
Tools can provide information, platforms can provide access, and data can help guide decisions. But understanding the music, the artist, the audience, and the opportunity still requires experience.
That distinction continues to shape OURGIG.
Experience Across the Music Business
Our work has taken us into many different corners of the entertainment industry.
From independent artists developing their identities and releasing new music to established recording artists, record labels, and organizations managing significant music catalogs, OURGIG has developed experience across a broad range of music-related businesses.
Our history includes work connected to major recording artists, significant releases, artist development, label operations, digital distribution, and catalog initiatives.
We’ve worked on projects that require more than a marketing campaign. They require an understanding of the music, the people involved, the business objectives, and the infrastructure needed to bring everything together.
That experience matters.
An emerging artist preparing a first release doesn’t have the same needs as an established artist developing a new audience, or a record label looking to reactivate and extend the life of its catalog.
We believe the strategy should reflect the opportunity, not simply follow a predetermined package.
More Than a Music Marketing Agency
OURGIG has evolved into a multidisciplinary agency offering capabilities across four primary areas:
Music Marketing
Developing strategies that help artists and music businesses promote releases, reach audiences, build visibility, and create opportunities for sustained growth.
Music PR
Connecting artists and music businesses with relevant media through media outreach, communications, press campaigns, and professional industry relationships.
Music Distribution
Supporting music releases and catalog initiatives through digital distribution, label services, and release strategy.
Design
Bringing creative ideas to life through website development, album artwork, branding, visual design, and other creative services.
These disciplines are connected by a common understanding of the music business.
Our role isn’t simply to provide individual services. It’s to understand where a client wants to go and identify the resources, relationships, and strategies that can help get them there.
The OURGIG Approach
We believe that successful music marketing requires more than impressions, streams, and audience numbers.
It requires perspective.
It requires knowing when to use technology and when a personal relationship matters more. It requires understanding the difference between generating attention and building something that has lasting value.
Our approach is guided by four principles:
- Relationships matter more than reach. Meaningful connections create opportunities that numbers alone cannot.
- Data should inform decisions. We use information to understand performance, identify opportunities, and make better strategic choices.
- Artists deserve individual attention. Every artist, release, and catalog has its own identity and objectives.
- Technology should enhance expertise. Digital tools should make good people and good strategies more effective, not replace them.
These aren’t just statements about how we work. They’re principles developed through decades of experience.
Looking Forward: Sustained Growth
The music industry will continue to change. New technologies, new platforms, and new business models will create opportunities while introducing new challenges.
OURGIG’s future is built around helping artists and music businesses navigate those changes with a focus on long-term value.
Our thinking is centered on three ideas:
LEVERAGE. LONGEVITY. RESONANCE.
Leverage the resources, relationships, experience, and opportunities available to move a project forward.
Longevity means thinking beyond the next release or campaign. It’s about building stronger foundations, developing catalogs, and creating opportunities that extend beyond a single moment.
Resonance is about making meaningful connections between music, artists, and the audiences who value them.
Together, these ideas represent how we think about sustained growth.
Not growth for the sake of growth, but progress built on experience, strategy, relationships, and execution.
The Story Continues
After decades in an industry that never stops changing, we remain as enthusiastic about the possibilities of music as ever.
OURGIG brings together music-industry experience, creative thinking, marketing expertise, and technology to help artists and music businesses take their next steps.
We know the business. We understand the changes. And we believe there are always new opportunities to discover.
OURGIG Agency
Music Marketing. Artist Development. Creative Strategy.
Leverage. Longevity. Resonance.
